We extend extensive exploration drilling in the Gulf region and the Middle East for more than three decades. Everyday, we at SCMS, work hard to deliver the resources that are the foundation blocks of an ever-changing world with our expansive experience of more than 30 years in exploration, mining ,crushing and screening to varied industries from mining ,quarrying and hardstone aggregate production.
OUR HISTORY
1993
FOUNDATION
Founded in 1993, CIT Ltd envisioned delivering impeccable results and exemplary performance, to become the leading Mining Contractors of Choice in the Middle East.
1994
PERFORMANCE
Shortly with our persistence, we won a major drilling and exploration contract for the Ma’aden Gold which was completed effectively and efficiently in record time.
1997
NEW CHAPTER
On December 16, 1997 Saudi Canadian Mining Services was incorporated in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
1998
PERSISTENCE
Shortly after our incorporation, we won several colossal contracts for exploration drilling for both surface and underground with Ma’aden.
2003
DETERMINATION
Steadfast to our resolution, we won the contract for infil trial mining for Zabirah Mine with Ma’aden.
2006
ESCALATION
Soon we were trusted with projects with dynamic scope by other partners like the contract for the analytical laboratory for Al Amar Mining, and the drilling contract with SunRidge Gold Canada for their project in Asmara Eritrea. Won drilling contract with Tertiary Minerals UK for their project in I Ghuraya Tantalum exploration.
2008
CREDIBILITY
To add to our worth and value, we also won a contract with Vextex Company Australia for their several drilling projects in KSA and several exploration drilling contracts with Petro Hunt USA, National Mining Company & SOFRECO France.
2009
BECOMING THE A-TEAM
Gulaid Gulaid joins the group and is appointed as the companies Managing Director. During 2009 to 2010 we applied for exploitation/Exploration Licenses from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral resources, consisting of Wadi Sawawin Iron Ore and Exploration of Nafud Mustajid and Jabal Nabitah Areas.
2011
RELIABILITY
Joint venture with National Mining Company and London Mining for the exploitation of Wadi Sawawin in which SCMS will do the exploration drilling operations.
2012
EXPERTISE
In 2012, Naser Gulaid joined our dynamic team as the group Chief Financial Officer.
2013
RESILIENCE
In July, 2013 we secured supplementary agreement for exploration drilling both surface and underground. We also won a mining contract with Ma’aden Aluminum for its Al-Baitha mine.
2015
SKILL
It is testament to our performance and grit that we also won a contract for a mobile crusher with Ma’aden.
2017
DEVELOPMENT
Nuh Gulaid joined CIT in January 2017, as the group’s Chief Business Development Officer and Head of Strategic Reserves and one of SCMS’s Executive Chairperson.
2018
COMMITMENT
In 2018, we won the Mining contract for Al Baitha Mining with our longstanding partner, Ma’aden.
2020
EXPLORE
Gulaid Gulaid was appointed as Executive Chairman to establish Junior Mining Company and Analytical Laboratory.
2022
POSSIBILITIES
Naser Gulaid was appointed as Executive Chairman leading to the restructuring of CIT giving way for SCMS to operate independently.
